#120: Hourglass Is Turned
Time flies relentlessly, ruthlessly, and uncompromisingly
I’m put in an isolating lockdown for months: save lives!
I spend the whole day preparing for the test: good job!
I’m told that graduation will only take another year: a prestigious door-opening diploma!
I’m on the subway wishing to return home faster: everyone has to do it!
I’m working wishing to end quicker: that’s life!
I ruminate about past events and insults: it’s okay!
I’m paralyzed by the fear of the looming wars: the world isn’t going to be the same!
It doesn’t matter what I do. What matters is that my hourglass has been turned. Every single second another grain of sand oozes through the hourglass and I have less time. It flies relentlessly, ruthlessly, and uncompromisingly. So I ask myself:
Is this how I want to spend the little time I have left?
